It is a substitute for the other driver's policy and your complete claim is settled with your own insurance company. Uninsured motorist bodily injury coverage often covers the following expenses:

  • Medical
  • Lost wages
  • Other general damages
  • Injuries sustained in hit-and-run accidents

Please be aware, if you have been involved in an accident with an uninsured driver, you may want to contact an attorney before you file a claim with your insurance company to ensure that you obtain all of the coverage available to you and you do not waive valuable legal rights.
